Alfred Hitchcock was known for his suspense/thriller motion pictures, especially stories such as Psycho, The Birds, Rear Window, Vertigo, and North By Northwest. His own sense of humor on the sets of those films included making fun of himself by casting himself in a scene just as a joke. Look for him and the odds are you’ll find him.
He also had a special affection for making suspense tales enjoyable for young audiences, intentionally retelling creepy short stories in humorous styles. Hitchcock produced a series of records (LPs for those of you too young to remember record players), including the one provided here: Ghost Stories For Young People.
